Dream Jobs - February 2004

In this issue we profile the occupations you've requested most often. Over the years we have received a great deal of email regarding these careers. So, by popular, demand here they are.

These occupations all have something in common. Namely, a great deal of competition and few jobs. So the question is: should you really consider any of these careers?

Don't give up your dream, just heed a few cautions:

  • Pursue your interests, but don't rely on them to provide a steady income.
  • Some of the careers in this issue aren't 'entry level.' Years of experience may be required before you land your dream job.
  • Entrepreneurial efforts may be required, self employment may be the only way to get your foot in the door.
  • Have a backup career option
