TLC provides people interested in the construction industry with the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience while earning a wage. While working in the industry employees are able to develop the relevant skills and gain the necessary knowledge that will expand their employment options in the future. Currently TLC is involved in over 80 contracts within the city and has seen 280 employees find full time employment in the construction industry.

Currently there are 288 employees that TLC supplies to meet the ever-changing needs of the construction industry.

What type of positions do you offer?
There are a range of positions available form full time to part-time positions or even summer opportunities to meet both the long and short term needs of the construction industry. TLC is now hiring to fill the following positions: Carpenters, Carpenter's Helpers, Cribbers, Concrete Finishers, Boarders, Tapers, Painters, Landscapers, General Labourers and flaggers.

How can I apply?
You can apply in person with 2 pieces of identification, including your Social Insurance card and a completed application form from TLC's website

What do you look for in employees?

Employees need to be safety conscious, reliable and available to work shifts on short notice.

What type of education/training/equipment do I need?

Some high school, TLC is able to incorporate people of varying skill levels into the construction workforce.

How old do I have to be to work for your company?

18 years

How much will I get paid?

$ 8.00 - 14.00/ hr

What are some entry level career opportunities that your organization offers?

General laborers, carpenters and flaggers are some of the areas the TLC often starts employees in so that they can expand their skill set.
