How many employees does your organization employ?

In Canada, we have over 10, 000 employees. In our Calgary Chinook Branch we have approximately 50 Advisors, 3 Long term Care Specialists, 5 Managers and 3 Financial Centre Training and Support Staff.

What type of positions do you offer?

We are looking to fill a Fulltime Advisor and fulltime Long term Care Specialist role at our Calgary Chinook Branch.

What is your hiring process?

Candidates must complete a Career Profile which determines whether we proceed to an Interview Stage. Then we conduct several In-depth Interviews with the financial centre Managers and then candidates must complete the LLQP course and pass provincial licensing exam.

What type of education/training/equipment do I need?

For Sun Life Advisors, training comes in successive phases:

• Phase 1 - (0-3 months)
• Regional training school (3-5 months)
• Phase Two (3 -12 months)
• National training school (12 -18 months)
• Phase three ( 12-36 months)
• Phase Four (36+months)
• Seminars
• Webinars, CD-ROMS, on-line, etc.

How old do I have to be to work for your company?

Must meet Alberta Provincial Employment Standards.
