Public Outreach is a professional fundraising organization that raises funds for a select group of non-profit organizations and charities. We specialize in face-to-face fundraising with a direct focus on monthly giving. Our honest, respectful, and effective practices result in donor interactions which maximize their long-term value. We attract individuals who are passionate about the mission of the organizations we represent, and we provide ongoing opportunities to build the next generation of skilled fundraisers.

Does your organization have other locations besides Calgary?

Public Outreach is located in twelve cities across Canada, including Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Sherbrooke, and Halifax.

How many employees does your organization employ?

We employ about 20 employees in each of our Canadian cities.

What type of positions do you offer?

We are offering both part-time and full-time positions.

What is your hiring process?

What do you look for in employees?

Individuals are expected to express an interest in being active in dealing with community issues. Some experience in a leadership role and strong communication skills are an asset. Individuals are expected to be proactive and have knowledge of the charities they will be representing. We welcome campaigners to choose the charity they would like to represent, specifically one that they find to be most interesting or most in line with their own values.

What type of education/training/equipment do I need?

Educational experience is not necessarily a requirement, but is viewed as an asset. Volunteer experience is important. Second language is also considered an asset.
