Company Bio
IKEA is a leading home furnishings retailer with 178 stores in 31 countries worldwide, including 11 in Canada.
The IKEA vision is to offer a wide range of home furnishings with good design and function at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them. And still have money left!
IKEA has a unique company culture. We have strong values that are special to us - values that create a sense of belonging. We can offer an environment where everyone is part of the team - there are no barriers between management and co-workers and we believe in leadership by example. We employ people who really care about customers and colleagues - people who are prepared to work hard and want to do their very best.
Everyone is encouraged to use their initiative to question and to try new ways and we believe strongly in opportunities for progression. So for those hungry to learn and develop this is a great place.
1. What is your hiring process?
Once the application is reviewed and the candidate is selected, a
phone pre-screen occurs and then candidates are invited in for an
interview. There could be two types of interviews: individual or
group.
The next step (at times optional) is for the hiring Manager to
contact the candidates that were selected from the first interview
to conduct a second interview.
If the candidate is successful, then references are conducted and
if positive, an offer of employment may follow.
2. Do I need a resume to apply to your company or can I apply
on-line?
No, a resume is not required and we welcome you to submit your
application on-line at www.ikea.ca so that your information can be captured in our nation-wide database. Your information will

Each position is assessed and an hourly wage assigned.
