HMSHost is a company in motion serving a world on the move for over 100 years. We provide food, beverage and retail concessions in airports, travel plazas, malls and entertainment venues throughout the world.

We have been in Calgary International Airport since 2000. Starting small with 2 units, we now have 7, including 4 Starbucks, Manchu Wok, Cheers and Calgary Connection Restaurants.

What are some entry level career opportunities that your organization offers?
Job Title: Starbucks Barista
Hours of Work Per Week: 20-40
Wages Per Hour: $8.25/hr (8.75/hr if starting before 6am)
Qualifications: We are looking to hire outgoing, friendly candidates that are customer service oriented. A successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving specialty coffees and cash handling. Additional responsibilities will be carried out as instructed. Applicant will be flexible in terms of hours and be available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings. Having previous experience with great cash handling skills is preferred; otherwise training will be given on the job for the right candidate.
Job Title: Cook
Hours of Work Per Week: 24-35
Wages Per Hour: $8.50-9.00/hr
Qualifications: We are looking to
hire hardworking candidates that have a minimum of 1 years experience along with Food Safe certificate. A successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for customers and general clean up. Additional responsibilities will be carried out as required. Applicant will be flexible in terms of hours and available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings.
Job Title: Supervisor
Hours of Work Per Week: 35-40
Wages Per Hour: $9.50-12.00/hr
Qualifications: We are actively seeking applications on an on-going basis for Supervisors. We are looking to hire hardworking candidates who will be responsible for supervising staff for all units. Cash handling experience and management experience are required. Applicant will be flexible in terms of hour and be available to work a variety of shifts including weekends, mornings and evenings.
Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Hours of Work Per Week: 20-30
Wages Per Hour: $9.00-$9.50/hr
Qualifications: We are looking to hire hardworking, reliable candidates that are physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting, including loading and unloading and lifting heavy objects. Additional responsibilities will be carried out as required. Applicant will be flexible in terms of hours and be available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings. Having previous experience is an asset; otherwise training will be given on the job for the right candidate.
Job Title: Server/ Bartender
Hours of Work Per Week: 20-40
Wages Per Hour: $7.00-$8.00 + tips (+$.50 if starting before 6am)
Qualifications: We are looking to hire outgoing, friendly candidates that are customer service oriented. A successful candidate will be responsible for serving customers food and beverages, cash handling and general clean up. Additional responsibilities will be carried out as required. Applicant will have Serving certificate with previous experience. Applicant will be flexible in terms of hours and available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings.
