We are a Full service staffing agency. In the industrial department we help companies to find the appropriate staff to meet their needs. That requires us to be constantly looking/recruiting new eager people to start many interesting opportunities with our vast clientele. Some of the many opportunities you can find here are; construction, banquet staff, flagging, moving and packaging, production lines, inventory, journeyman trades, painting, and general labour. And that's only to name a few.

Do you have locations other than Calgary?

We also have offices in Edmonton, Banff, and Red Deer.

Do you have Full-time or Part-time Positions?

We offer both full time and part time positions, even weekend work for some spending money during the school year. We have day-to-day positions, temporary positions and everything up to full-time placements.

What type of entry level positions do you offer?

We have entry level positions in a wide variety of industries including: Warehousing, construction, Production, Landscaping, Hospitality and many more!

How do I apply?

To apply for work with Diversified Staffing Services Industrial Division all you need to do is come down to one of our two offices in Calgary and fill out our general application. Bring your resume and a great attitude because after your done your application we will want to talk to you right away in order to find out what kinds of things you're interested in. This way we can find the right opportunity for you.

Do I need an appointment to meet with someone?

An appointment is not necessary you can simply drop in. Keep in mind it will take about a half an hour to go through the process so try to come in at least 30 minutes before we close.

What are your hours of operation?

Monday ­ Friday: 5am -8pm
Saturday: 7am-3pm
Sunday: 8am-4pm

Do I need a resume or can I apply online?

A resume always helps but isn't necessary for all of our positions. If you show us the right attitude and are eager to learn new things ­ that can be just as valuable as having a resume. Although online applications for our industrial work is always an option we like to take the time to speak with everyone who is interest in working at Diversified Staffing Services, so it is recommended that you are not shy and come on down and see us.

What qualities do you look for in an employee?

When looking for perspective employees we place a great deal of emphasis on having the right attitude accompanied by a strong work ethic. Because we have a lot of entry level positions we can give people the opportunity to learn new skills and build their resumes while earning some money along the way.

What type of education do I need?

The type of schooling you need depends on the type of position you are looking for. Some certifications can make you available to a wider selection of jobs, but they are not mandatory. We will certify people for WHMIS and flagging if they are interested.

Do I need any special equipment?

Steel toed boots are definitely an asset. While some positions don't require them, a lot do. We have some we can lend out however; they are very limited in number. Other safety equipment can either be loaned out or the price deducted from paychecks. Personal CSA approved equipment is always welcome.

Do I have to be 18?

Certain industries and certain positions require you to be 18 years of age. However we offer a wide range of opportunities for those between the ages of 16 and 18.

How much will I get paid?

Your pay is determined by the type of job you are doing. Our pay range for entry-level positions is between $9-$11/hr.

What skills do I need?

As you develop skills in specific industries it opens up a wider range of opportunities to garner higher incomes or take on more responsibilities at work. But your greatest skill is always your attitude.

Do you have summer opportunities?

We have a wide Range of summer opportunities available for those interested. Whether you want to get your feet wet and try your hand at several different industries or find something to make some steady cash for the upcoming school year, we can help you to find what you are looking for. We routinely find work for senior high school students looking for a summer job.
