Discount Car & Truck Rentals is a privately owned Canadian company established in 1980 in Hamilton, Ontario that specializes in the car insurance replacement industry. We have been an industry leader and have pioneered the "Free Customer Pickup and Return", and the rental of hybrid vehicles to local customers throughout Canada.

How many locations do you have?
Currently Discount has over 275 offices across Canada and Australia. In the local Calgary market we have over 4 locations throughout the city. In addition, we are looking to open additional stores throughout Calgary in the upcoming year.

How many employees do you have?
We employ approximately 600 employees.

What type of positions do you have?
Discount offers a wide variety of positions from Service Attendants, Customer Service Representatives, Managers-In-Training, and Branch Managers in both full time and part time positions.

What is the application process?
Applicants must go through an interview process of at least two face-to-face interviews, produce a good driver's abstract, and two suitable work references.

What do you look for in an employee?
Discount's main focus when looking for employees are people that are outgoing, energetic, organized and professional. We also look for people who "go the extra mile" and have a commitment to both customer service and to perform to the best of their ability.

What type of education or training to I need?
A minimum High School education is preferred. However, we do have many positions for recent graduates and current students in post-secondary institutions that require a degree.

How old do I have to be to work for your company?
There is no minimum age for applying to work for our company. However, you do need to have a graduated driver's license with a clean driving record.

How much will I be paid?
Our lowest paying position is a Service Attendant which is $10/hr. + bonuses. It only goes up from there!
