CYBF provides loans of up to $15,000 and on-line business resources that provide the foundation for new business start-ups. Additionally, what makes the critical difference between a new company's sustainable success and failure is our mandatory world-class mentoring program. CYBF individually qualifies, interviews and trains every volunteer mentor with a hand-matched CYBF entrepreneur for a minimum of 2 years during the critical start-up period.

- Supported 1,964 new entrepreneurs, generated $217.3 million in gross sales with $51.3 million in tax revenue, and created 10,921 jobs for the Canadian economy - with only a $19 million loan fund investment

What are the eligibility requirements?
- 18 - 34 years old
- Eligible to work in Canada
- New full-time business start-up
- Viable business plan with 3 year cash flow projections
- Must work with a business mentor and complete CYBF training programs
- Must hold at least 51% voting share
What is the application process?
The application process will follow these steps:
- Loan Application with Business Plan
- Credit History Report & Reference Checks
- Interview - by Loan Review Committee members
- Mentor Assignment and on-line training
- Funding Advanced
Additional Information
- Business plans and financing requirements are evaluated on non-traditional lending criteria
- Loans based on personal guarantee, rather than traditional business security
CYBF provides business start-up financing loans up to a maximum of $15,000
- Loan repayments of three or five years are available
- Interest Rates:
- First Year = Prime +2% (interest only)
- Second Year = Prime +1% (principal repayment begins)
