What is your hiring process?

When hiring new staff, normally we advertise on our website www.cfmvmt.com, in local newspapers or magazines, and on Monster.ca. We then interview candidates on-site, check references and credentials and sometimes perform knowledge or skills testing (i.e. WHMIS)

Do I need a resume to apply to your company or can I apply online?

Interested individuals can submit their resume to the company by fax, mail or through our website.

What do you look for in employees?

The criteria for our team members are normally outlined in our job postings and will vary from job to job. In general, we will look for people who are team players, customer oriented, self-motivated and self-reliant, analytical, problem solvers and are excellent communicators.

What type of schooling do I need?

High school is generally the minimum level of education required, but amount of schooling depends on the occupation.

Do I have to be 18 to work for your company?

For some positions we have a minimum age requirement, however we do sometimes hire students for short-term positions.

How much will I get paid?

Wage will depend on the occupation. For example, a part-time Freight Handler in Calgary starts at $18.39 per hour, a General Clerk starts at $14.98 per hour and includes benefits.

Skills vary for each position.

Do you have summer opportunities available?

We often hire vacation relief Freight Handlers and administrative staff from April to October. We advertise all of these positions on our website.
