Calaway Park is Western Canada's Largest Outdoor Family Amusement Park. We offer a variety of rides, games, food, attractions and live entertainment to guests of all ages. Guest service is our priority and we offer training on how to make a guest's experience a positive one and how to turn negative situations into positive ones. How many employees does Calaway Park employ?
We hire between 600 and 700 staff each and every season.
Do you hire full time and part time employees?
Yes, Calaway Park hires for both full time and part time work during the summer months.
How can I get out to the Park if I don't have my own transportation?
We have a shuttle bus that heads for Calaway Park every day. Employees can take this bus from Calgary right to Calaway Park for FREE! The bus picks up and drops off at various locations in Calgary and departure and arrival times coincide with shifts at the park.

What are some entry-level career opportunities that Calaway Park offers?
- Ride Operator - Responsible for the safe operation of rides and the safety of guests on the rides while providing excellent guest service.
- Games Attendant - Responsible for attending to guests wanting to play games, accurate cash handling, distribution and displaying of prizes as well as providing excellent guest service.
- Food Service Employee - Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, preparing and serving a variety of food items and providing excellent guest service.
- Retail Employee - Provide excellent guest service while helping guests pick out the perfect souvenir, also responsible for inventory and for maintaining organization of retail locations.
- Campground Attendant - Responsible for providing excellent guest service to overnight guests, checking guests in and out of the campground and running the campground store. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Courier/General Maintenance Worker - Responsible for assisting with general maintenance duties and courier duties. Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Cash Control/Revenue Audit Clerk - Responsible for building floats, performing cash reconciliation and providing change to locations on park.
- Security/ On-Park Guest Service - Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for both guests and employees and for providing excellent guest service. Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Inside Guest Service - Responsible for providing excellent guest service to guests with questions or concerns, responsible for operation of park switchboard and for park reception.

A resume is helpful but not necessary and the online application is available at all times.
What kind of skills do I need to work at Calaway Park?
Applicants must be good communicators, have the ability to work with people, be positive and friendly, and be willing to learn.
What type of schooling do I need?
Specific schooling isn't necessary for most positions at Calaway Park. We even work with both Calgary school boards to provide work experience credits to high school students!
Do I have to be 18 to work for your company?
No! Most positions at Calaway Park start at 15 years of age. We hire positive and energetic people that enjoy working with the public in a fun and safe environment. We employ high school and university/college students, adults, and seniors . . . basically anyone aged 14 and up.
We do have limited positions for 14-year-old applicants. There are also many positions that require employees to be 18 years or older.
How much will I get paid?
That depends on the position that you are hired on for. Starting wages range from $8.50- $10.00 per hour. Leadership roles start from $9.50-$13.00 per hour. Experience is taken into consideration. There are plenty of opportunities to earn performance raises throughout your employment.
Do you have summer opportunities?
Of course! Calaway Park employs between 600 and 700 employees each season.
We open May long weekend and are open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in May and June, and are open every day in July and August. In September and October we're open on Saturdays and Sundays.
