Does your organization have other locations besides Calgary?
No... but maybe one day!
How many employees does your organization employ?
Our farmily has more than 50 people making things happen in the summer.
What type of positions do you offer?
Full time, part time, seasonal, contract... Varies throughout the year. Openings for both volunteers and paid staff.
What are some entry level career opportunities that your organization offers?
Weekly grass cutting/trimming with the gas lawn mower, lawn tractor, and weed whacker. Number of hours required will depend upon the season (if it rains and is warm, the grass can really grow!) Typically 4-8 hrs/week. More hours available if you have a passion for painting, fence repair, or like to fix things!
Some weeding of a few flower bed/pots at the entrance; potentially watering also.
Hours: there is some flexibility here, but the primary concern is to keep things safe (no flying objects like rocks etc) for our animals and guests. Most of the grass trimming is in the same areas used by our guests.
June: before 10am, after 4pm on weekends; before 8:30, after 2:30 weekdays.
July and August before 9am, after 4pm.
Days will vary as you work with the weather, but we target Sunday (so things are looking especially good for Monday's first day of day Camps), and Thursday (so things look great for Friday's Day Camp Hoe-Down)
Wage $10-13/hr, Min age 14
