Jump $tart your summer AND your future!

Jump $tart is a free program for 15 and 16 year olds interested in developing their employment skills. The goal of Jump $tart is to increase self-awareness, improve employment readiness, and build confidence for job search and the workplace. The program involves workshops, guest speakers, workplace tours and an optional 25-hour work exploration opportunity.

Jump $tart will run from July 8-26th, 2013. If interested in the optional work exploration youth would continue until August 2nd, 2013. The group will meet at the Youth Employment Centre (YEC), Monday to Friday, 9:00am- 3:30pm.

Want to join Jump $tart?

1. Are you 15 and 16 years old? (must be 15 by the first day)
2. Complete an application form (download here)
3. Attend one of the following information nights OR schedule a private meeting
• May 13, 2013
• May 21, 2013
• May 29, 2013
• June 6, 2013

All information nights are:

• 5:30-6:30pm
• At The Youth Employment Centre (2nd floor, 315 10th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB)

If you are 17 years old, we encourage you to apply, as we may be able to accept you into the program.

A Social Insurance Number (SIN) is required for participation. If you require a SIN card, please visit www.servicecanada.gc.ca.
